Nano-structured Chromium Nitride

SMT   PVT LTD’s Supernano-22 Coating is a pharma grade CrN based nano-structured coating deposited using state-of-the art Physical Vapour deposition (PVD) process.

SMTPL’s Supernano-22 coating provides excellent performance and toughness over monolayer CrN coating. It has excellent impact resistance or shock resistance properties. Combination of hard and soft nano-layered coating makes this structure impact resistant and can cope with high compression loads. Post polishing of the tools completely eliminates picking and sticking at the surface resulting in uninterrupted productivity for tablet compression application.  The nano-structure reduces crack propagation of defects toward the surface resulting in improving the corrosion resistance as well as eliminates picking in the tablet compression application. Low temperature deposition process allows coating of the tools without causing distortion or dimensional changes. Supernano-22 can be used as a better substitute for very hard abrasive and reactive formulations compression. For Tablet tooling application, coating thickness in kept around 2.5 to 3 microns.
